Master-planning a 3.1 GW hyperscale campus in partnership with Nanto City and Toyama Prefecture

Raiden partnered early with Nanto City to master-plan a flagship 3.1 GW hyperscale campus situated directly adjacent to one of Japan's most critical backbone grid substations, connecting three 500 kV lines from multiple grids.

By forming a joint municipal task force from day one, we de-risked and secured all key aspects of the project while prioritising Toyama's regional ecosystem at every step: retaining local design firms, civil engineers, regional bank capital, general contractors and power subcontractors.

Officially designated as a METI Green Transformation (GX) Strategic Zone (Data Center Cluster Type), GigaStream Toyama proves how early local partnership accelerates development timelines, ensures grid harmony and converts massive digital demand into direct economic value for host communities.
